A seventeen-year-old boy blackmails his father after discovering his secret second family.
About The Film

It’s 1992, the year grunge music becomes mainstream hitting middle-American teenagers directly in their angst. Phillip longs to leave his small town for music school in NYC, but his dreams are dashed when his overbearing father Frank forbids it. In retaliation, he sneaks away for a wild spring break. However, when he crosses state lines he instead finds a charming lake community where he spots his father with another woman. It turns out that his father lives in this town with his second family. With this new heartbreaking information, Phillip realizes he can wallow in his father’s deceit or take matters into his own hands.

Established producer Miranda Bailey’s directorial debut offers a light hand with heavy themes in a comedy of errors. As the patriarch of both families, Jim Gaffigan ably brings his everyman dynamic to a role that requires him to spin an increasing number of lies faster and faster.
