A struggling Chicago artist finds herself at a crossroads in life, overwhelmed by changes and needing to make a critical decision in her relationship.
About The Film

Olympia is a coming-of-adulthood story about a young woman on the precipice of turning 30 who is confronted by events that promise to dramatically alter the course of her life. Can she overcome her issues of abandonment and be self-reflective enough to assess her own life before it passes her by?

Writer and lead McKenzie Chinn shines in the titular role, delivering an emotionally nuanced performance that’s both evocative and moving. Alongside costar Charles Andrew Gardner, the two charming performers offer a refreshing look at the intimacy, nurturing and hard choices inherent to all relationships, but seen so rarely onscreen from African-Americans. Directed with assured visual style by Gregory Dixon, Olympia speaks to that moment where we all have to make the hard personal choice to stop living for others and truly start living for ourselves.
